Delete your account from inside the app
- Open NinjamZap on your device.
- Tap the profile icon in the top bar.
- Open Edit Profile.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the action when prompted.
This sends a DELETE /me/delete request to the NinjamZap backend and immediately signs you out.

[email protected] from the address linked to your NinjamZap account and we will process the deletion within 30 days. Please include the display name you used.
What gets deleted
The following data is permanently and immediately removed when you delete your account:
- Profile picture (deleted from object storage)
- User profile record (display name, location, birth date, bio, any optional profile fields)
- Push notification tokens for all your devices
The following personally identifying data is cleared from your account record:
- Email address (replaced with an anonymized placeholder)
- Username (replaced with an anonymized placeholder)
- Display name
- Password hash (if you ever set one)
- Profile picture URL
- Last-active timestamp
After deletion, your account is marked DELETED with the deletion timestamp, signed out everywhere, and cannot be signed back into.
What is retained
An anonymized account stub (without any personally identifying information) is retained indefinitely. This stub exists only to preserve referential integrity of historical session metadata and cannot be used to identify you. It contains no email, no name, no profile picture, and no contact details.
Server logs are retained for up to 30 days for security and operational diagnostics. After 30 days they are automatically rotated out.
The following are never stored on our backend in the first place, so there is nothing to delete:
- Microphone audio — streamed live to NINJAM servers during a session, never recorded by NinjamZap.
- Camera video — streamed live during a session, never recorded by NinjamZap.
- Chat messages — ephemeral within a NINJAM session, not stored by the NinjamZap backend.
- Local recordings (if you used the in-app recorder) — stored on your device only. Uninstalling the app removes them.
